【About the Work】

This piece draws inspiration from the film Golem, l'esprit de l'exil, while the concept of Golem comes from the ancient Western legend of a character, puppet, also known as “artificial human”. The four puppets in the play represent four stages of spiritual states in life: the innocence and compromise of childhood, the acceptance and pursuit of adolescence, the passion and confusion of adulthood and the delusion and self-doubt of old age. They ultimately choose to face the arrival of fate and continue their exile. The work pays tribute to artists from various fields and presents Confessions of Golem as a sincere exploration and dialogue with each audience under the themes of life, dreams and choices.
